Remember that our sizes range from extra small to 6X! We carry a full line of beautiful and classy intimate apparel, swimwear, costumes and body slimwear.

So now you have that perfect piece of lingerie. You love it! But how do you care for it properly? Beautiful lingerie is an investment in yourself and you want it to last a very long time.

If you treat delicate items like a pair of old shorts that you toss into the laundry, that is exactly what it will end up looking like! To keep your lingerie looking its’ best, Divas and Goddesses has put together some guidelines that will extend the life of your lingerie…therefore extending the time you will have to enjoy it. Yes, it may take a bit more time, but it well worth the effort!

CHECK YOUR LABELS!!!

Since the manufacturer know their product better than you do, take their advice seriously. If it says DRY CLEAN ONLY…then that is what needs to be done! The very first thing you need to do is check the labels!
Oops…you cut off the label? With the label missing or if the manufacturer’s instructions are as clear as mud, take heart! Below are some very clear instructions:

1- Most lingerie (especially if it is made of lace) should be hand washed in cold water with mild soap or a detergent that is made for hand washing…Woolite, for example.
2- Fasten any snaps, hooks, clasps, buttons to avoid tearing or snagging the material.
3- Rinse well, let is hang dry. NEVER machine dry your lingerie!
ALTERNATIVE:
If you have quite a few pieces of lingerie (after all you are quite the Diva!), then you can use your washing machine’s delicate cycle on COLD, never warm!!! Use a lingerie bag or a small washing bag for your garments so that they can’t get caught on anything during the washing cycle. Once again, let your lingerie hang dry.

Silk:
Silk is very delicate. Silk is extremely sensitive to detergents so be sure to use a mild soap or something made exclusively for silk. Let the lingerie sit in warm (not hot) water for about five minutes, then rinse in cool water. Use a teaspoon of vinegar in the rinse water to remove traces of the soap. Lay out a thick towel, place the lingerie on it and let it dry flat.
Since silk is so fragile here are some additional tips:
*Do not EVER wring the water out of silk!
*Never scrub silk!
*Never spot clean silk…you must clean the entire garment.
*Never spray perfume on silk!
*Never wear silk in direct sunlight because it fades very easily!

NYLON
Ahh you gotta love it! Nylon can be washed using the delicate cycle of your washing machine…and can be put in the dryer as well! Just make sure to use a dryer sheet to avoid static electricity.

Your Beautiful Corsets:
Corsets are definitely an investment. They are often exquisite pieces that can cost you a pretty penny. Treat your corset with tender loving care, like you would your vintage fine china! Our corsets are made of very high quality steel boning, which can rust if exposed to too much water. We suggest that you always have your corset dry cleaned by a professional, and even at that specifically ask that they wash it by hand.
Other than that, here are a few guidelines for keeping your corset fresh and clean (and keeping the dry cleaning bill to a minimum!)
*Treat your corset with a fabric protector before wearing your corset. This will protect if from those inevitable spills, and enables you to easily wipe it off.
*When possible, wear a light camisole underneath your corset to prevent excess perspiration.
*Rather than wash your corset every time you wear it, use a damp cloth to clean the lining.
